Every Storm Runs Out of Rain

'Abstract' images can be made from intentional blur from movement of the subject or movement of the camera or lens. I wanted to accomplish an 'impressionist' abstract by using a 'focused' subject & rain to distort the scene. A city setting w/ sidewalks & street lights were not possible so I imagined a park-like setting. My model wore a black raincoat & a black Fedora & we used red & black umbrellas. I put a pane of glass between the camera & the subject, propping it up w/ a jug of water. I used a spray bottle to saturate the glass. The mystery of an abstract subject allows the viewer to assign their own meaning. Settings: 50mm lens F2.5 1/640 iso 100 manual mode, darkened sky & contrast in Topaz.
