Before the Breeze

Who hasn't picked up a dandelion and blew the wispy parachute seeds into the wind! Some view it as a weed and others as a flower. Every part of the dandelion is useful; the roots, leaves and flowers which can be used for food, medicine and a dye for coloring. I have always loved dandelions and after photographing them this week and seeing the details with my macro lens, I am even more in love with the Creator who designed them. I put purplish phlox in the vase behind the dandelion to give it some color. I used 2 - 100 watt diffused daylight bulbs and a LED flashlight. I was very pleased w/ most of the shots as they needed little editing. The tiny bug was an accidental model about the size of a pin head.
