Description

31 cigarette butts collected today along one side of our property which runs along a moderately used road. The length of this property line is about 155 feet which means an average of about 5 feet per butt. I picked this stretch of road clean last fall which means all of this trash (not to mention all the other refuse that was littered) was tossed over the winter. Last year I had a driver in front of me along this stretch toss a butt out his window which bounced off my front bumper. I beeped the horn and he responded by slamming on his brakes and, very demonstrably, giving me the finger. Cigarette butt littering is very pervasive. If you smoke in a car, bring an ashtray. This behavior is ridiculous and selfish. Image captured on LG SmartPhone, post-processed in Snapseed, JixiPix Dramatic B&W, and Photoshop 21.0.2 (healing and curve adjustments).
