What a beautiful picture!!! I love how close you cropped this!!! The only thing that might help is if you increased the contrast a little to separate the petals more, and next time if you used a reflector to reflect some light back onto the right side just a little. But those are just suggestions, this is a simply beautiful shot!!!

Thanks Collette. OK...stupid question...I use Paint Shop Pro instead of Photoshop. Do you know how to add contrast in PSP? Is it the same as clarity? #2220944

Im not sure because I dont have PSP, but it might be. Im pretty sure that all editing programs like that have some way to adjust the contrast, Im sorry I cant be more help, but maybe if you posted your question in the forum someone would know.

Hi Collette. I played around with this a bit in PSP. I tried to add contrast (found where I do that) but it made the reds to red. I did add some clarity. What do you think? #2224281

I think I like the first one better. I think the most central part of the flower has a bit of soft focus, and this is brought out more in the second photo. #2225077

I see exactly what you write of, Stuart. I was focused on getting the contrast, I missed the softness. Thanks! #2225105
