Description

'Still life' is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate objects such as flowers, foods or other common household items. This still life was inspired by a primitive trinket box made by my great uncle likely in the 1930's or 40's & a series of vintage post cards. At the time I purchased them we were doing a 1940's train station photo shoot when I discovered them at an antique mall. Some spoke of this very train station & a woman named Miss Willie Dressler. She seemed to have several suitors writing her. Miss Dressler would have been born about 1887 & the cards I have range from 1907-1914. Even the position of the stamps on the post cards had a secret meaning & postage was just one cent! Light painted in total darkness & added a Topaz filter @30% to mimic the old masters paintings.
