Description

This is the photo that started my deep love for photography. At it's inception, I was in my last year of college, Knox College, double majoring in chemistry and biology. My faculty adviser meet with me with concern. Although I had an overabundance in completed class work in the math and sciences, I could not graduate unless i completed some class in the fine arts. Art!!! I had very seldom even been on that side of the campus. So what was my choice? Photography... at least it had a little bit to do with chemistry. This was a photo that i submitted for a class project. "Use the mechanics of the camera learned in class with our learned traits of composition. Take a photo of someplace on campus, develop, process, and mount to be viewed by all of the students". The last part scared me the most, all of those Fine Art Students!!! Well Friday came and when we walked into class my photo "Brick" was front and center and half of the class time was dedicated to discussing it. I
