Oh wow, John, I am from Pocomoke City, Maryland, just about 8 miles from where you probably took this photo (Shad Landing?)! Small world. Great capture of the fall reflections off of the Pocomoke River! I go back home a few times a year. I enjoy going down to Chincoteague, and the NWR down there. Do you ever go there? <>< #1716576John D. Roach October 29, 2018
Shirley, thanks so much. I was on a photo workshop with Jim Clark out of the Chincoteague Bay Field Station for a week (just this past week). We spent a lot of time in the NWR there as well as up into Maryland. The weather was terrific and it was target rich for birds and autumn color as well as places like Taylor's Landing and Greenbackville. Much fun. #11733131John D. Roach October 29, 2018
By the way, I live in Richmond, VA so it is only a 4 hour trip to Chincoteague so I will do it again...probably early spring before the Mesquitos really get active. #11733134Susan D. Royce October 29, 2018
Beautiful color, John. We are not getting much in eastern Pennsylvania :-( #11733141Shirley D. Freeman October 29, 2018
Thanks for your responses on each photo, John. Yeah, the mosquitos are not the kind of "wildlife" we are looking for, but at certain times it can be plenty of them there. I was up there a month ago, myself, from North Carolina. <>< #11733144Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
