Description

This is a famous scenic bridge over the inlet to Omura Bay in Japan near Sasebo where I lived for 3 years. The narrow inlet is tidal and consequently produces some of the largest whirlpools in the world and are mostly viewed from the bridge. The whirlpools get to 60 feet across. Here we were in a small 16 foot john boat with a 10 HP engine. That was stupid and I almost died taking photos of those whirlpools.

Well we are glad you made it out Emile and its a great reminder that no picture is worth risking out safety for. I knew you had to be out on the water to get this incredible pov, depth, and well composed. I love all the traffic on the bridge and its quite interesting about the whirlpools forming and how dangerous they can be. Beautiful work Emile. #11731034
