“Heading Dockside” by artist Beverley Smith
Heading Dockside depicts the workers from the Collingwood Shipyards heading to work on foot and bicycle as they did every morning for over 100 years. The mural includes an image of Gordon "Steamer" Clark, a shipyard worker well known for his ability to make anything out of steel. Clark is shown in the mural playing the saxophone. The mural is 35' by 35' and located at 28 Huron Street in Collingwood. It was installed in 2000 and restored in 2009 by Ruth Hurdle.
