The Wellington caves Sculpture.
Known as The Wellington Gateway Sculpture, this structure is made from almost totally recycled products! The project was conceived in 1993, and grants came from the Federal and Local governments of the day. The POD of the structure was made from girders from the old Wellington Bridge, which collapsed in 1989. Growing out of the POD are many local plants including Kangaroo Grass and Pattersons Curse, together with plants of importance to the local native tribes! The design of the rock wall takes its inspiration from the Wiradjuri people, and represents all people who have lived in the district.
