Eastonville

Description

Settlement in Eastonville, Colorado, began in 1872, when a post office was established. The town was a successful farming community until a potato blight in the 1930s. In 1935, a flood washed out the railroad that kept the town alive, and the community was largely abandoned. How this train car came to be abandoned in the middle of a field is a story in its own right.
