Uniform Change

A view of the LED light tunnel art installation at the National Gallery of Art, edited in post for color manipulation. (The LED's are all white, set in slats of aluminum-grey metal; I brought in the green and purple.) In this view the "flat plane" of light streaks that seems to recede deeper into the image, is actually the ceiling above me, while the curved element at the back of the photo is the curved wall that runs parallel to the people-mover. (Which I'm riding, to get this 1/3 sec. shot allowing my movement to streak the LED's into short lines of light. The unstreaked LED's appear as round white dots, in my earlier "To Oz" image.)

Wonderful capture with the two words in your title being exactly opposite meanings :) #11651919Chris Budny October 25, 2017
Thanks, Usman! I figured my own motion made all those single LED dots uniformly change into short streaks - so it seemed fitting! #11651943Bob Cournoyer October 29, 2017
Wonderfully done favorites win, Chris... :-) #11652732Amanda D. Austwick October 29, 2017

Really amazing capture, I was interested to read that the "lines" were the result of movement. Congratulations on the 101 Faves win! #11652773Chris Budny October 29, 2017
