Summer Storm
Uploaded: July 09, 2017 | Entered: February 16, 2019 04:02:46
Typically, after the severe threats that accompany the Spring Storm Season here in Texas dissipates, we head into the hot/dry season..... Well the past couple of weeks has brought us numerous pop-up thunderstorms in the afternoon such as this one. Found this truck parked along the creek near our home where folks often launch canoes and kayaks to spend a quiet afternoon on the water.
* The reason that this tree does not have any leaves is because it was in approximately 6-8 feet of water during the floods over the past 2 years. We lost a lot of trees along this water way.... But nature is amazing and things are now recovering nicely. (T&P)

Some of the trees in the background show the buffeting by water. What a magnificent light is "flooding" this scene, Jeff. Well-timed... well-composed. #11618599Jeff Robinson July 10, 2017 1

Am so glad to hear that things are getting back to normal somewhat. It is amazing how nature can bring things back to life given the chance. Love the scene, the truck, details.
