Red Door on Nevada Street

Uploaded: December 05, 2005

Description

I pass by this old building every day and finally made it a point to stop and shoot it. Overcast, mid-day, hand-held from the other side of 4-lane street (in between traffic). I originally had this entered late last month for a couple of days, but was not satisfied with the integrity of the upload resolution, so I pulled it for re-edit and this December entry. Sharpened in PS Elements, added slight texturize to bring out wood grain, and then finished with smart blur, saturation and contrast adj. (Thanks again to those who commented on the November posting!)

I love old barns and other such weathered buildings ... the variety of colors in this shot is great ...
