Description

East Sikkim, India - March,17

Taken from the same location as that of my last post , only longer focal length was used here to get more of the background mountain in this shot which includes one of the mightiest peaks of the Himalayan belt - Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world with an elevation of 8,586 metres (28,169 ft), the location elevation at this spot was itself at over 12,000 ft.

Another spectacular shot from this location Ujjwal, love the closer look!! How long to you spend at this altitude, it can be tough on the body and hard to breath from what I understand!! #11591401

John, I actually stayed at a very basic home stay at that altitude only but I was well acclimatized before reaching there but yes, there are some I know who find it difficult to adjust and cope with it as you mentioned...... #11591452
