Have A Gander

Description

My fourth in a series of images featuring the three "swan sisters" during Venice's Carnevale last month. The beautiful ballroom was a perfect backdrop for their equally beautiful costumes. Something about this scene felt as if the two women were waiting, perhaps longer than they should have been made to, for their escorts to arrive and take them off to a ball... I couldn't resist the pun then, for the title -- as one of them "has a gander" (looking out the window) they are each, presumably, waiting for their own, tardy male swan (a gander) to arrive.

Chris, you're so punny! Love the play on words and the play of light as everything about this gander becomes grander in its glow. Excellent DOF and soft background details. Well done! #11571536
