All Legs And Shadows

Uploaded: September 14, 2016 | Entered: September 14, 2016 04:38:13

Description

Found this creature in my house and took it to the sunny outdoors where I coaxed it onto a sheet of white paper. It is a house centipede. Its legs are gradually larger from front to back; but it has only 30, not the 100 in its name. It eats other house pests, This image may be too small, but a very small spider can be seen in its legs near the top left.

How Cool Wally! Strong composition creates motion! What fun! The insect on white creates a High Key artistic look as well! Well Done! Ann #1668684

Thanks Ann and Jo Ann. Not sure I was clear - The front of this beast is on the right You can see its small pincers that put food in its mouth. I first thought that the higher legs were its front, holding its head up high; but it it the opposite. Its back legs pass over the front legs as it scurries along. #11516821
