The Getty Center incorporates the modern design of architect Richard Meier, with beautiful gardens, open spaces, and spectacular views of Los Angeles. The entire complex is based on a 30-inch-square whose horizontal lines span every structure. On some buildings, those shapes bend around curves, and an occasional rectangle or other geometric element mixes in.
