Male Southern Ground Hornbill

Uploaded: August 13, 2015 | Entered: August 13, 2015 17:27:38

Description

The female has a blue patch on her throat and the male has a solid red throat. Native to South Africa shooting and poisonings have led to severe declines in the populations. Shoot pictures and photographs and leave the animals of the world alone. Just my thoughts.

I agree with you Emile. We just seem to keep showing little respect for Gods work.
Well this one is not going to win any beauty contest but your camera work will. Love the lighting and the shadow it creates. Your clarity is outstanding. The colors are beautiful and the details of its features sharp and clear. I have never seen one so this is always a treat for me to see something I never have before. Beautiful look Emile. #11345781

What an unusual bird this is, Emile.
And I SO agree with you on the shooting of animals only with cameras :) #11345822
