Description

Prior to our going on a Rockhound Event at Dobell's Ranch for Petrified stopped at the National Park.....no rock hunting here, please....It was cold, cloudy with threat of snow...yikes this is Arizona in April...

Yup....snow....this area has an elevation of 5100 feet....so a bit colder than where I live in the state of Arizona. Winds are pretty fierce up here too. Yes, there is much suffereing going on....but loving every minute of it! ;) #11303473

The Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert - both on my bucket list - like, forever! Excellent capture of what wind, water and eons of time with Mother Nature's help can create. Love the textures and different colored rock strata...bet as a "rockhound" you enjoyed taking in these views! #11312267
