The only red I saw today

Description

Spring is still a ways away in the desert but on our walk did spot this Claret Cactus that was a ways away. Used the tele on the small Canon Powershot to get the only red cactus bloom we saw. Rains a few days ago have helped and some Verbena (purple) in the capture is starting to flower. Hope to take another trail tomorrow. Dress Rehearsal tonight Wedding tomorrow. I will try to get some pics at both if I can.

A wedding sounds fun! Love that vibrancy in the cactus Emile! Nice to see you have an array of wildflowers over there in your desert, its very dry here, we missed out on our monsoonal rain, so there are no flowers! #11273022

A gorgeous find Emile. What a standout the red of the blossoms is. Such a pretty sight and I love how they stand out from the rest of the surroundings. Beautiful look my friend. #11273399
