This ship was built at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, and launched just after the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941. She served in WWII, Korean War, The Vietnam War, and in the Middle East until decommissioned in 1991. It is now a floating museum on the Philadelphia Waterfront.
This was shot just as last year's Pearl Harbor Day Ceremony on the ship's deck. The treatment was developed using TOPAZ "Impression."

Michelle you know how to make things come alive! My dad was on the USS California after it was raised from Pearl Harbor and recommissioned! He was only 18 and responsible for loading these guns! #11153663
