Description

Ice Lakes, Colorado. Special thanks to Tad Bowman for telling me about this locale. It’s accessible via a 7 mile round-trip hike with the trailhead at 9,800 feet elevation and the lakes are around 12,250 feet. Tons of wildflowers along the walk.

I went with BPer and long-time friend Mike Frazier. We did a whirl-wind tour of Aspen, Crested Butte, and the San Juan Mountains.

F18, 36 sec exposure (10-stop ND filter), ISO 160, 24mm focal length
