This is for Dale's Challenge! These bluebells were given to me by my mom. Every time they bloom it makes me happy, and it feels like a piece of her is still here! Happy Easter, Happy Passover and any other holiday you are celebrating this weekend. Enjoy your families! #1570449

Beth, many of us are now feeling guilty as we haven't risen to Dale's challenge yet, so thank you for this gentle push into action. I will do it today!
Your images had a strangely bittersweet effect for me. Loved the beautifully saturated colours and that matching stroke you framed them with but then was instantly transported back a few thousand miles and an even more thousand days to when back 'home' a time when I was a single-dad, I would take my two children for long Sunday walks through Ashridge Forest at bluebell time. The native, wild species, are the long-stemmed variety that literally carpet the forest floor for that brief spell to herald approaching Summer. And and as Emily Bronte put it so beautifully....

"The Bluebell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air:
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit's care."

Blessings, Beth and Friends.

Hi Beth! The colors are so deep and beautiful in these flowers and the purple is so pretty next to the green. I really like this diptych. Is the bottom picture distorted/stretched sideways? #11031625
