Merganser Song

Uploaded: March 25, 2014

Description

------
Kind of like a "swan song" for Winter. In this view, shot in mid-January, 2009, the river ice is breaking apart; a sign of Spring. This year Spring has been more evasive, but it will be here soon, in more than name only.

I'm telling myself you're right, but the snowflakes I see flying outside my window are telling me something else. This is beautiful, though! #1567959

You always speak so eloquently, Michelle, and you often have me looking up your creative words. :D Thank you for waking our minds to learning new things!

All that being said - This is one terrific image. No sign of the ice breaking here yet. Unless you mean the people at the local cowboy bar after the first round! HA! (Breaking the ice...Get it???) Boooooooo!

I hope your spring comes soon and that you are well. I am just getting over pneumonia here. Am much better now and am ready to shovel more snow now. :D Back to business.

Great job!

The tones, lighting , comp and ducks dealing with the ice do something to make this a magical scene for me, one to think about and revisit, as I have, looking for the right words. #11020234
