Hi Linda, the ball is called a "Gumball" from a Sweet Gum tree. As a kid we use to collect them am use them as Christmas decorations during the holidays. Hope this helps...great capture. #1565715

One would think something like this would be so simple, but when we get to see what the naked eye does, that is anything but simple. Love the composing, the slight variety of the shades of brown, but its those incredible details the reveal the complicated shape. Gorgeous my friend. #10993515
