This is about the beautiful Mimosa (weed) tree. But we could add the champagne cocktail to our mind's eye's view....

Continuing the "Spring Dance," the delicately flowered Mimosa blooms in July. This one, beside our pond, has since "walked on" but when it bloomed in July of 2009, it was very beautiful.

When I photographed the tree, I was still impressed by the Fractalius filter, and I thought that desaturating about halfway would add to the delicacy of the flower.

Update: We are back into frigid temperatures BUT at this point there is very little snow in the 10-day forecast. Let it be SO!

So soft and delicate, Michelle. A wonderful capture. Truly beautiful. We're currently getting a bit more snow, but it should be balmy here at the end of the week -- in the high 20s, low 30s. Ahhhhhh.... warmth. #1564921
