Awesome Job! I like how his one foot is lifting off the branch! He looks a little mad! #10982942Jeff E Jensen February 22, 2014
Thanks!Unfortunately, it's been really slim pickins for the eagles this year, so this may be the best I get. #10983015

The only opportunity that I had to shoot an eagle in flight and this guy got excited and joined in. #10984213Anthony L. Mancuso February 24, 2014
Nice job Jeff...that 800mm lens comes sure comes in handy when you shoot these guys.. #10984247Elaine Hessler February 25, 2014
Wow-that is a big lens! Nice image you got with it. So with the extender, does that make it a 1600mm??? #10985557Jeff E Jensen February 25, 2014
No, it is a 400mm lens with the 2x making it 800mm. Canon does make an 800mm lens, I need to get my hands on one of them sometime. #10985562Sherran Andersen February 25, 2014
That sounds like one heavy piece of equipment... nice capture Jeff. I like the comp. #10985583Jeff E Jensen February 25, 2014
Thanks, Sherran! And, it's not too bad, camera, extender, and lens are just under 13 pounds. This was not hand held, it was shot from the driver's seat of my truck, resting on a bean bag. #10985654

Jeff -- We are all jealous of your lens but are happy you have your dream job and still want to "play" with us "mere mortals" -- looking forward to what we are going to get to do in Oregon/Washington.Were you out in the wild or was this a presentation from some organization like Hawkquest? #10986399

Now don't forget friends that our Jeff works for Canon and his job is to make us all envious so that we raid the kids' or grandkids' college funds to aquire such toys as these. lolBut let's see, he told us that it was ".....just under 13 pounds" so by my calculation 13 British pounds (£13) is about $21 so I shall be sending Jeff a check plus shipping of course and eaqerly awaiting the FED EX van. #10986493

Peter, you are too funny.Debbie - this was in the wild. We are in their migration paths in this area, so we typically get a bunch of them each winter. #10986495
