Chinook

Description

Chinook is a male eastern screech owl, cared for by Raptor Recovery Nebraska. The tree he was in as an owlet was felled and he was found on the ground in an Omaha, Nebraska, neighborhood. The rest of the family was killed. The little fledgling seemed normal, but it soon became evident that something was wrong. He was fine physically but must have had a head injury as he could never learn to hunt. He showed no fear of owls, people, or anything; totally unwary, he would have died quickly in the wild.
