You can see a bit of the earthquake damage that the cathedral suffered in 2011, near the bottom -- the round base stone has shifted left of where it should be, exposing some mortar. Sounds kind of minor I realize, but in this portion of the cathedral, 25 tons of undamaged hand-carved limestone sitting above this carving must be fully dismantled, to reach and repair the badly damaged section just below this carving! No wonder he's grumpy! ;) #10858371
