One Came Tumbling Down

Uploaded: September 28, 2013

Description

The rubble that was the downtown Macy's in Houston, Texas. shot from one of the light rail stops on Main Street.
Long-time Houstonians remember the store as Foley's, which began as Foley Brothers Dry Goods Co. in 1900, ultimately acquired by Macy's in 2006.
The 10-story downtown building, which opened in 1947 as "The Store of the Future", was imploded on Sunday, September 22, 2013.
New retail space will be constructed in its place.
Taken with Samsung Galaxy SII smart phone, minor adjustments in CS5.
