Bee on Fireweed
Uploaded: August 22, 2013
Fireweed is a beautiful wildflower spread all over the Alaskan scene throughout July and tops off & seeds the first weeks of August. Here a bee enjoys the last of the nectar from this wild plant most Alaskan would say is the true State flower. It is thought that once the flower reaches the top, there is only another six weeks before the first snow will fall.

A delightful captue Susan, the clolor and detail are outstanding! I don't really think I could handle Alaska's climate at all, I hate winter! #10819390Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
