Rarely am I ever first, Jeff. I like the colors and great texture. Nice diagonal lines, too. Can't think of anything to change. I an trying to get to all the new ones before we leave again on Sunday for Yellowstone and Grand Tetons! #1539504Susan Williams August 07, 2013
These anomalies are hard to pass up. Nice composition on this one. I think I would try to pull out some detail in the leaves and play the green off the color of the bricks a little more. Love the sloppy mortar joints - it just wouldn't be the same with veneer. Cool shot, Jeff. #10800189Jeff E Jensen August 08, 2013
Alright, here's a re-work. I actually started from scratch as I had originally worked on this one from my laptop while out of town. #10800371Peter W. Marks August 08, 2013
Nicely minimalist image Jeff but I do follow what Susan pointed out. #10800375Elaine Hessler August 08, 2013
Yep I remember this! Here's one from a different point of view.BTW, I do like the rework. #10801162

Wow, thanks for posting that image to put Jeff's in context, Elaine. I had imagined he found a little straggler vine. It's like the vine was singing to Jeff: "Come a little bit closer, you're my kind of man."Jeff - I like the added detail but you're so conservative on the green. I would jack it up a little more to bring out the colors of the bricks. #10801303

I'm always drawn to this kind of shot, Jeff. Did you try it cropping any off the top or bottom? I think I'd like it better as a more panoramic.Beth Spencer August 09, 2013
I like your edit Jeff! Elaine thanks for posting the bigger picture. Sometimes it is easy to miss the little things in the bigger picture! #10802445Rita K. Connell August 10, 2013
I like the rework Jeff looks better. and agree with Susan another little tweakElaine love that image. it give a great perspective. I love how it does look like the vine is coming for him. #10803032

I like the rework on the greenery but not brighter reds. The brickwork lost detail and depth. I read Susan's original suggestion as increasing color contrast by brightening and strengthening the greens more than the reds. #10804232Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
