This Rittenhouse Square (Philadelphia) landmark high-end Discount store closed its doors in September of 2012.

Came upon this sad scene during "Make Music Philly" Day last week. Just look at all the trash that has accumulated!

It's a shame to see stores go out of business, and the resultant lack of care of the site, but you've made it look good in this photo, Michelle #1533756

Excellent work, but agree it's a sad sight! #10745296

Trash will be our cultures legacy. Independent small businesses are have problems surviving. You will also see the demise of independent solo practicing physicians very soon as well. I am a dinosaur and dying breed of physician as well but hanging in so far. #10745481

Sad but still a great shot! Those wavy lines of the gate give this a surreal look! #10745527

An excellent documentation of a sad situation not unique to Philadelphia!! #10745599

A sad sight that's for sure Michelle! Not all the changes in our world are for the better! A wonderful story telling capture! #10745693

Great find and composition Michelle, it truly is a shame when you come across a famous old landmark such as this knowing how it must have been to shop there during its prime. #10746799
