And Fairy Dust Galore!

They Smile And Softly Wave Me In
And This Is Where The Fun Begins!
I see Panda's and Wolves, Rhino's and Ape's,
Together in peace, at each other we Gape.

For In My Garden
We All Live Together,
Humans and the Wild
Become Sister and Brother. :D

I DEDICATE THIS IMAGE TO THE ANIMALS OF THE CALGARY ZOO TONIGHT. AFTER THE TERRIBLE FLOOD THAT CALGARY HAS HAD ON JUNE 20th, 21, 22 and 23 of 2013, THE CALGARY ZOO ANIMALS HAD TO BE EVACUATED. MANY OF WHICH, TONIGHT, ARE LIVING INSIDE OF THE CALGARY CITY HALL BUILDING!! THE OFFICIALS SAID IT WAS THE SAFEST PLACE THEY COULD THINK OF TO PUT THEM. MOST OF THEM ARE THE EXOTIC ANIMALS. IMAGINE! THIS GIVES BRAND NEW MEANING TO THE TERM "IT'S A ZOO AT CITY HALL"...!

God Bless All The Animals and Keep Them Safe and Well Through This. They Must Be Very Scared.

Laura, this is really lovely. I watched the links you sent and the flooding is so bad. Especially loved the story and photos about the cat that jumped off the back of the truck and made it to safety. Good to hear the animals at the zoo are being looked after. I hope things get better soon. People's safety is the paramount concern, buildings can be rebuilt. #10742435

Hi Ann! Thank you so much!! You are so right. It's the living that we need to focus on. The Army has come now and they are really helping out the Police and Fire departments. Red Cross is in full force and it has been declared a national disaster so we are getting all the help we need. (I HOPE!) It will take a long time to recover from this!

Hi Bojan, Nancy Marie, Monnie and Brother John!

You know, Calgary used to have little floods in this one spot downtown (Because of the BOW RIVER...so they got smart after 2005 and built up the sides of the river quite a bit and all has been great. But this one was a doozie. Huge down pours in the Rockies and all the way to us. it seemed like nonstop heavy rain until yesterday.

Today and yesterday we had times of sun but now the sky is looking "iffy" again at the moment. So we have come in and are taking cover!

I appreciate your thoughts, prayers and support. :) Very much!!!

Of course I love that all the animals are there.

And I was terryfied and of course also very relieved to read about the rescue.
Poor animals. But I trust they are okay.
