Seconds before I snapped this photo, the little girl on the left had been busy manipulating the other girl's lips to try to get her to smile...and then to frown. Suddenly she saw my camera and struck the pose you see here. The other little girl had not noticed me yet.

In the front of the sanctuary, members of the congregation were walking up to "deposit" their "tithes and offerings" while the choir sang uplifting words.
