Tranquil scene, Dan. What? A new camera? It takes great photos or the photographer is great! #337245

Thanks Choo for looking and commenting. Yes, I needed a new point and shooter. I had gotten so used to the speed of my pentax SLR that my 2 year old Canon A70 was just to slow, only 3.2 MP and I was missing a lot of images like the "Explosion of Ducks" in my gallery. I was walking up to the river bank and the ducks that were close to the edge were surprised and all took flight as soon as I came into view. With this faster Canon S2IS I was able to capture them and the water patterns they left behind. I had left my Pentax in the car and was going to look for photo ops. near the river. I had the S2 around my neck and got it started up and made the shot in time, something the old A70 could not have done. The ducks would have been long gone before the A70 even booted up. So the S2 is my new backup and seems to produce a good image, so I uploaded a few to see what they looked like. Sorry I haven't been around much, but I was spending time with my son while he was on leave before going to the Iraq - Iran border. Please pray for him and all our troops . #2029112
