The Philadelphia Public School Championship game. The team wearing the red uniforms has won this title in three of the last five years. The team in the white has never won. And their school is on the list to be closed next year.
----
The game was a nail-biter all the way. The din in the arena (The beautiful Temple University sport arena) was deafening. The boy in white made 35 of the team's final 60 points, but missed ONE fowl shot in the last 30 seconds. With less than one second to go in the last quarter, it was still anyone's game.
----
I almost cried when the final buzzer sounded and Imhotep Charter School had won yet again.
----
They play the the Catholic School League (whose game was last night) for next for the City Championship.
