The Dreamer
Uploaded: December 29, 2012
When my grand daughter came over to help clean the house in preparation for our Christmas party, we took a few minutes off to take some pictures.
At one point she started to day dream a bit as I was making adjustments and I captured this shot. I enhanced it a bit by adding some multiply blend and then rendering the omni lighting effect to both eyes and masking the overlap.

I can't believe how much she is growing up. How sweet that she came over to help you. this is a great capture of her eyes. I think the lighting is very nice...I am glad you didn't over sharpen them. how old is she now? #10489352Dale Hardin December 30, 2012
Thank you Rita. She is a gem. She's now 16 and driving her own car. All "growed" up according to her. :o) #10489703Peter W. Marks December 30, 2012
Didn't understand a word of all that technical stuff Dale but I can appreciate a very lovely young lady when I see one. What a beautiful portrait this is. #10490076Dale Hardin December 30, 2012
Thank you Peter. #10490194Jeff E Jensen December 30, 2012
I keep coming back to this, Dale, and I'm just not sure I like it. To be clear, she is beautiful and you captured her eyes really well. I'm just not sure I like the lighting. #10490474Dale Hardin December 30, 2012
I hope to work with her again tomorrow. What would you suggest as a change? #10490529Jeff E Jensen December 31, 2012
It feels like the light is too much of a spotlight on her. Does that make sense? Might just be me. #10493023Dale Hardin December 31, 2012
Yes, that makes sense. It was an experiment in Post Processing that seemed to work OK. By the way, took my last pix of 2012 today and they were of Teresa again. Here is a sample. #10493148Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
