Description

When my grand daughter came over to help clean the house in preparation for our Christmas party, we took a few minutes off to take some pictures.

At one point she started to day dream a bit as I was making adjustments and I captured this shot. I enhanced it a bit by adding some multiply blend and then rendering the omni lighting effect to both eyes and masking the overlap.

Shutter Speed: 1/160.00 F-stop: f/8.0
Focal Length: 50.00

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/160 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 50.00 mm, Model: SLT-A77V

I can't believe how much she is growing up. How sweet that she came over to help you. this is a great capture of her eyes. I think the lighting is very nice...I am glad you didn't over sharpen them. how old is she now? #10489352

Thank you Rita. She is a gem. She's now 16 and driving her own car. All "growed" up according to her. :o) #10489703

Didn't understand a word of all that technical stuff Dale but I can appreciate a very lovely young lady when I see one. What a beautiful portrait this is. #10490076

I keep coming back to this, Dale, and I'm just not sure I like it. To be clear, she is beautiful and you captured her eyes really well. I'm just not sure I like the lighting. #10490474

I hope to work with her again tomorrow. What would you suggest as a change? #10490529

Jeff E Jensen December 31, 2012

It feels like the light is too much of a spotlight on her. Does that make sense? Might just be me. #10493023

Dale Hardin December 31, 2012

Yes, that makes sense. It was an experiment in Post Processing that seemed to work OK. By the way, took my last pix of 2012 today and they were of Teresa again. Here is a sample. #10493148
