Forgotten Hatchet

Uploaded: December 15, 2012 06:01:54

Description

Spotted out in the tall grasses of our northernmost hotel in Iceland, with other seemingly discarded farm equipment.
Against the scuffed sheet of metal, the hatchet's rusty blade and weathered handle caught my eye, along with the graceful curves of the hose.
Later I noticed the hatchet head's lingering rust stains on the metal sheet, indicating it had changed position more than once over time.

Awesome! Love the details of rust and rust stains and, as you point out, the sensual curve of the hose. #10465545

Thank you! This large farm, right on the coast of the North Atlantic, was yet another place on the Iceland trip I wish I could have spent a full day exploring :) #10467091
