~The family home of President Abraham Lincoln, located on the corner of Eight and Jackson street, in Springfield, IL. In 1887, Robert Lincoln deeded the house over to the State of Illinois for $1. His only stipulations were that it be kept in good repair and “free of access” so that anyone who wanted could visit his father’s house.~
