Took this mid-morning shot on the way to Spruce Knob recently. The light reflecting from the trees seemed to turn the surface of the water green.

Thanks Terry - I think it's impossible to see them all. Every time the finalists come out I see all kinds of shots I missed during the month! I love shooting running water. I used both a neutral density filter and a polarizing filter on this one, plus it was actually pretty dimly lit because the forest canopy was so thick, but the slow shutter speed gives it a lot of light. This was a 30 second exposure. #136069

Thanks again Cathy. It was indeed dark. Even so I still got some washed out spots right at the bottom of the little rapids but it didn't really seem to hurt the image. I kind of like the effect actually, as long as it's not too distracting. #136674
