This is a less photographed portion of Sparks Lane in the Cades Cove section of the GSMNP. Perhaps it is less photographed in "leaf season" because if you drive, it would require dozens of photogrpahers to move their equipment to let you by. If you walk, you are almost certain to get in someone's "perfect" shot and you are also certain to get your feet wet. Even in dry season, both cars and walkers have to ford a twelve foot wide stream to get to the other end.
