~ FARMER'S HARVEST ~ [Summer Season Pictures Summer Beach Pictures]
Uploaded: October 11, 2012 07:14:38
The farmer shown is my husband, starting our own fall harvest of grain sorghum/milo. After a month of planting our wheat crop for next summer, cutting and hauling crops for others in the community, we are finally getting to ours! Hoping to be finished in a few days. There are many uses for grain sorghum/milo, some of which are food, fodder, and the production of alcoholic beverages. It is drought tolerant and heat tolerant, and is especially important in arid regions. It is an important food crop in Africa, Central America, and South Asia, and is the "fifth most important cereal crop grown in the world." More info in the discussion area.....

Great POV, Jeana! Thank you for sharing all that information! Drought and heat tolerance seems to be very important now, with the kind of summer we had. Hope everything goes well with the harvest! #10365180Jeff Robinson October 11, 2012
