This,to me,is a great photo, what did you use film or digital. It's like a blue and white Ansel Adams piece of art.Jim F. Caldwell January 11, 2002
Hi Garry, thanks for your kind words! This was shot on Fuji Sensia II slide film. I used a polarizer on the camera and it was a VERY cold day - 10 or 15 degrees below zero (F). I think the polarizer combined with the clear blue skies increased the blue cast. I metered this from several points in the photo and averaged the reading and adjusted for the snow.Jim #4651

Hi Jim, 10 to 15 degrees below zero? I still want to be there but I'll need a heavier coat. I'm getting back into photography after a long absence. This is a great site to learn.Jim F. Caldwell January 11, 2002
Looking forward to your posts!! BTW - since I'm from Florida - anything below 50 degrees is cold to me!!!Jim #4655

Let me just jump on this bandwagon too. Nice shot, Jim. Good job braving the cold. :) #6227Jim F. Caldwell March 23, 2002
Thank you Jim (easy name for me to remember!!). I appreciate your kind comments - and it WAS a very cold day! I just purchased an E-10 digital and I wonder if that batteries would have functioned in that weather! My Olympus OM cameras worked great for the entire week! #6229Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
