This,to me,is a great photo, what did you use film or digital. It's like a blue and white Ansel Adams piece of art.
It makes me want to be there.

Hi Garry, thanks for your kind words! This was shot on Fuji Sensia II slide film. I used a polarizer on the camera and it was a VERY cold day - 10 or 15 degrees below zero (F). I think the polarizer combined with the clear blue skies increased the blue cast. I metered this from several points in the photo and averaged the reading and adjusted for the snow.

Hi Jim, 10 to 15 degrees below zero? I still want to be there but I'll need a heavier coat. I'm getting back into photography after a long absence. This is a great site to learn.

Thank you Jim (easy name for me to remember!!). I appreciate your kind comments - and it WAS a very cold day! I just purchased an E-10 digital and I wonder if that batteries would have functioned in that weather! My Olympus OM cameras worked great for the entire week! #6229
