Description

I took this in the Bess Streeter Aldrich home in Elmwood, Nebraska. I was welcome to take pictures - even to move things about as long as I put them back - but the light was so poor this is about the only keeper I got (and it's positioned exactly as I found it). About a quarter to a third of the people who see this think it's creepy - maybe the same people who don't like clowns and mimes and dolls that look too real?

I don't find it creepy, but I do find it haunting and somehow timeless. The way the light fades from the very bright above seems to work to enhance that ambience too. I like this a lot. #10324129

The light is amazing, Nikki. I also have had many challenges with low light situations, but when you just shoot, shoot and shoot, trying different things, it's often well worth the trouble if even one turns out well. Really beautiful! #10607744
