Description

Marvin Wong was a Master welder during WWII and beyond.
He worked on many US Navy submarines aircraft carriers and other warships.
Rummur has it that during his 39 years of work, Marvin never missed even one work day.
Following his retirement, Marvin has been volunteering at the USS Pampanito Museum in San Francisco, Fishermen's Wharf, Pier 45.

I sure agree with Emile! Marvin looks like a "can do" kind of person who isn't happy resting on his laurels but pitches in and works for the sheer joy of keeping busy and loving his work. You've captured the very essence of the man in this wonderful portrait of him. I remember Mr. Wong from previous photos of yours - I never forgot that wonderful expressive face of his!
