Met my niece at the OC fair last week where she was running the BMX show at the fair arena. Was truly amazed at the stunts these young men were able to accomplish on a bicycle.

The POV really puts this guy up in the air. Nice capture - good detail and stop on the motion. #10277680

Nice work with the speed light, Dale. I have yet to master mine. He is really up there. How many outtakes do you have on this one? #10278869

Dale Hardin August 16, 2012

Thanks Debbie. Not nearly as many as keepers, which surprised me. I did make a mistake though, in that I figured the flash would stop all the action, but I still got some movement in the ambient light.

dale this is a great shot especially under the lighting condition and using your speed light. I can't think of any suggestions.

they are alot of fun to watch. #10280317

Yes-this is really a neat shot. I noticed also that even though you used a flash there was a little blur. I do think that is pretty neat though because it adds a bit of movement to the picture.

What kind of flash did you use? Seems like you were pretty close with the focal length... I am just wondering what are the limits of the flash as in shutter speed-1/200th?

Fun shot! #10281940
