Philadelphia Art Museum at Night

Michelle Alton August 12, 2012

I think this view is breathtaking at ANY time. But this image is OUTSTANDING.

I learned recently that the Art Museum stands atop a rocky bluff called "Faire Mount." A reservoir was built atop the bluff by the Water Works, with earthen walls nearly as tall as the roof of the Philadelphia Museum of Art which sits there today.

Being a Philly native, you probably knew all this, but perhaps your fans were not aware--as was I (not aware). #1480044
