The residence originated in 1717, when Catherine I of Russia engaged the German architect Johann-Friedrich Braunstein to construct a summer palace for her pleasure. The palace was famed for its lavish exterior. More than 100 kilograms of gold were used to gild the sophisticated stucco façade and numerous statues erected on the roof....Wikipedia

What a magnificent image, Rey. I hope this one goes BP Gold for you! The details here are amazing!!! What a beautiful structure and you framed this perfectly...And that Gold on the roof top! WOW!I think there are 2.2 lbs in a Kilo? That is a lot of weight! I wonder who has the job of shining it? Likely a team of people.
